Privacy Policy

Effective 2026-09-23. We keep this short because we collect very little.

What we collect

• Nothing you type. The site has no accounts, no comment forms and no newsletter signups yet.
• No advertising cookies. The site sets no tracking or advertising cookies.
• Aggregate analytics. We may self-host umami, a cookieless analytics tool that records anonymized page views (page URL, referrer, coarse device type). umami does not build cross-site profiles and does not store personal identifiers.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and error diagnosis, rotated on a short retention schedule.

Legal bases (GDPR)

For visitors from the EEA/UK: aggregate analytics and security logging are processed under legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — keeping the site fast, free and secure — with minimal, non-identifying data.

Your rights (GDPR & CCPA)

California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. EEA/UK residents: you may request access to or deletion of any personal data about you — because we hold none by design, most requests will conclude with that confirmation. Contact us at the contact page.

Third-party links

Guides link to retailers and manufacturers. Those sites have their own privacy practices (including affiliate tracking cookies, once our affiliate links are active). We do not receive your browsing data from them — and if affiliate programs go active, the only thing they would ever share with us is anonymous commission reports.

Children

The site is directed at adults and is not directed to children under 13 (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If analytics or advertising practices change, this policy is updated before they go live and any required consent notice is added. Material changes will be noted on this page with a new effective date.
